Conclusions


After the survey, the students answered the following questions after viewing the website, and this is their response.


Question: What did you learn from the website?

Specific Respones:

  • All English as a first language students who know a second language mentioned knowing a little Spanish.
  • Boys care less about stuff than girls
  • Cultures are not the same in some ways, but can be the same in some.
  • Everyone has a job in a household.
  • Guys vote on the funny and not so important things than girls
  • More people like Language Arts than any other subject.
  • People think different from each other.
  • That a lot of people think like me
  • That most people feel different because of their gender.
  • That people have many different opinions of everything
  • The real people in your family care and support you always.


Question: Did any of the information surprise you?
Specific Responses:
  • I didn't know boys learned faster and better in math.
  • No because I knew most of this stuff anyway
  • No because I knew people were different
  • No because it's all true about girls being treated differently
  • No, not really
  • Yes, because guys put that they are treated different because they are guys
  • Yes, I didn't know that they were going to get into my religion, but that's a good thing.
  • Yes, most of the people say they get grounded for discipline.  Most people like Language Arts.  Most of the people say faith is important.


Question: Can you make any conclusions from this website?
Specific Responses:
  • 14 people say they like technology more than dislike.
  • Everybody has different ways of celebrating holidays.
  • Everyone has different ways of living
  • Guys are smarter than girls.
  • I could make a conclusion that some people probably were not telling the truth.
  • I learned that everybody's differnt and everyone's the same.  I figured out what that meant.
  • It's a cool website to see and read because you get to know other people's opinions.
  • People can have different opinions about stuff.
  • That all cultures will never be the same no matter what
  • Well, that it wasn't that great, and maybe people were saying stuff.
  • Yes, guys like food and sports, and girls like a lot of stuff.
  • Yes, people have different ideas.
  • Yes, people like to hug other people more than I thought.
  • Yes, that everyone likes to be treated a different way than others.
  • Yes, that we all think different.
